| New parking areas are planned along the eastern edge of the wetlands section of the site, both for convenience to the proposed facilities and as an added buffer for the residential neighborhoods. Additional parking is provided in two new parking towers, one next to the proposed hotel and new restaurant across from the Cajundome. Another parking strategy employed wherever possible is locating parking areas in the middle of the blocks, where they are hidden from view by the buildings and shaded by trees. Landscaping and trees both beautify and cool the various building complexes within the plan. | |||||||
